First and most importantly, we empty the bottle (hiccup). 

Then use ancient Roman techniques to cut and sand the bottles ;-)

We then hand-pour the vessels with glorious wax and scents, polish and package up the candle to be shipped to your favorite Okanagan winery for you to enjoy.

We are very excited in 2023 to be using a wax blend of coconut, soy and beeswax.  Along with essential and fragrance oils (which are phthalate and paraban free ), our candles now burn longer, with better hot and cold scent throw. The wicks are HTP flat braid wick, possessing intertwined thin paper fibers. So no bad stuff here!

First off-burn your candle-ignite the ritual of lighting the candle again!

Second, make sure to burn your candles till the wax pool goes all the way to the edge (up to 4 hours, depending on the size).

If you burn your  candles for shorter periods of time, it is likely that the wax pool will burrow down the centre of the candle rather than burn evenly across the width of the candle jar. Once this effect has started it is then very difficult to use all of the wax and it is possible that the wax will ‘drown’ the wick.

Keep the wick trimmed to between ⅛ and ¼ inch. If the candle begins to smoke, or if the flame height is greater than 1½ inches, gently blow out the candle, allow the wick and wax to cool, and trim the wick by gently running your finger across the top of it. Remove all wick trimmings before relighting.

Your wine bottle vessel still has years of life left in it. The wax comes out easily with a little hot water  soap and a paper towel. You can put a plant in it, pop your pens or brushes in it!
